The Sims 4 is Going FREE
When a video game series is able to stand out for over 20 years, that’s something to behold. When the publishers of that series announces that its latest iteration, which has been out and going strong since 2014, is going free-to-play, that takes things to a whole other level. That’s right folks starting October 18th the base game of The Sims 4 will become free on PC, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, XBOX Series X/S, and XBOX One.
Now let's say that you’ve been riding The Sims 4 train for a while, as long as you’ve purchased this game before October 17th you’ll get the Desert Luxe Kit as a free gift. For those who are EA Play and EA Play Pro members you’ll get the Get to Work Expansion Pack, if you are a Pro member you’ll get the Toddler Stuff Pack as well.
To make things even more interesting and appealing, EA is planning to continue to develop and release packs, Kits, and Sims Delivery Express drops for the foreseeable future. There’s also going to be an EA hosted “The Sims” event on YouTube and Twitch called “Behind The Sims Summit” which promises to showcase what the team has in the works. I also wouldn’t be surprised if EA were to perhaps put a temporary discount on some of their expansion packs (currently there’s around 12 of them most retailing for $40).
