The Solitaire Conspiracy Review

A member of a secret agent organization has reached out to you. Your name was on a list of highly sought after talent, and now you’re being brought in. There is a problem though, you don’t seem to remember or know anything about any secret agencies. You will thankfully be briefed, and in a little bit of a spoiler, the agency has been locked out and they need you to raise your level to 15, in The Solitaire Conspiracy, so that you can hand them back access.

I will have to admit when I think about Solitaire I don’t really think about an action packed game, but the developers proved me wrong. They have taken the mechanics behind the game Solitaire and have added a little bit of spice to it. You will work with different suits (spy groups) and utilize their different skill sets to help you clear the board. Once you have placed their Ace into the slot you will gain access to their Jack, Queen, and King. All three have the same type of power, but all groups have different powers. One set has the ability to blow up all the cards in the current stack and distribute them to other stacks. Another group gives you the ability to obtain the next card needed in a set. Once you have used one of those cards you will not be able to use that ability with that specific card again during your “quest”. Those quests are how you get to level 15. Each quest/mission will give you a certain amount of experience points, as well as allow you to play with different groups. Some of the missions will only be with 2 groups while others will have 4 groups.

The story will be full of twists and turns, betrayals and misdirections, and when you get to Level 15 the true extent of all will be revealed. Now there is more than just the story mode, but honestly the story mode alone makes this game worth playing. Throughout my playthrough I began to hone in on the groups that I really liked to work with and if I had to deal with one I didn’t care for I made a plan to try to remove that suit first so I didn’t have to deal with them. I was hooked from start to finish, and I fully admit I was heartbroken when I finally got to the end. I loved every minute of it. The music, the graphics, the style, the game mechanics, and especially the acting (and you know it’s hard to win me over on that one). I don’t see any way that you shouldn’t get this game.
